Voice of the Victim Launch — July 15, 2023
This book is extremely special to me for multiple reasons. First, it is the first book in the series that follows both Detective Sergeant Keone Boyd and Sergeant Angela Beyers as they investigate two different mysteries twelve time zones apart. Second, it involves an impossible manuscript found on a shooting victim’s computer while the victim is still in the coma in a hospital. More bizarrely for Sgt. Angela Beyers, the manuscript was saved on the computer after the victim was shot, was definitely written by him, and describes in detail the shooting from the victim’s point of view. Third, Keone’s investigation involves a serial killer on a luxury cruise ship who believes he’s a god. Finally, the shooting victim has a lot in common with me. He is a retired scientist, who has started a new career as a writer. He retired from the mainland to Maui to start writing. And his career path includes being a medic, a nurse, and a research scientist in both the biotechnology and pharmaceutical fields.
You could say that I put a lot of myself into this one. Here are the links for Amazon:
And don’t forget Eyes of the Beholder is always available, as well!
If you want to start this saga at the beginning, the first book in the series, Eyes of the Beholder is also available on Amazon and all major online vendors as a paperback or eBook, here is the link for Amazon.
Coming next year: Fires of Pele
The completely re-imagined and re-written edition of what we previously called Pele’s Fire is currently out to my beta readers for their valuable comments. After the launch period for Voice of the Victim, I will focus this blog on the process of creating this next exciting chapter in the Maui Mysteries Series.
