Status Report: Next two Maui Mysteries “Voice of the Victim” and “Fires of Pele”
In my last update, I told you that the second book in the Maui Mystery series had a new name, Voice of the Victim. After an excellent edit by the incomparable Lara Bernhardt, both my publisher and I agree the book is ready to move to the next step, cover design. The graphic artists have been chosen and my book has been added to their queue. Watch this space for information regarding the cover and the launch.
Meanwhile, I have not been idle and have completed the complete reimagining of the third book in the series, now tentatively titled “Fires of Pele”. I have just sent it off to my two alpha readers for comments and, after I incorporate their suggested changes, I will be sending it to my beta readers. After it goes to my beta readers, I will begin posting information about the plot and characters in that book on this blog as I have for the first two.
Let me summarize. The first book, which you can buy at any of the major online vendors as a paperback or ebook, is Eyes of the Beholder. I am always grateful for any reviews on Amazon or Goodreads for my published books. The second book, which is nearing launch, is now called Voice of the Victim, and is having it’s cover designed. And the third book, which now goes by the working title Fires of Pele has been given to my two alpha readers for review and comment.
If you have any questions for me about any of the above, please send them to me at rickludwigwrites@gmail.com . I promise to answer quickly and personally.
Best wishes and Aloha.
Rick
